Hi, I'm hoping to build genuine, platonic friendships in or around the capital area. I’d love to find people who are up for both lighthearted fun as well as deep conversations, and who enjoy sharing the things they're interested in. I'm quite introverted, but I'm also a very talkative person. I'm not particularly good at small talk though and can be a little awkward at first, so I appreciate people who don't mind letting a friendship develop at its own pace. What I really enjoy is being able to talk about things at length, follow strange trains of thought wherever they lead, and being genuinely curious about how another person sees the world. I value openness, sincerity and the kind of friendship where you can think out loud together without having to have everything figured out first. I like reading and listening to audiobooks (I usually have a few books on the go at once); watching movies and tv series (I’m a huge - if picky - fan of horror movies); browsing bookshops and kirpputori; playing boardgames, tabletop games and videogames (BG3 at the moment); and generally just being outdoors. Currently I’m learning to crochet and embroider, I’ve recently started miniature painting again, and I want to get better at making pancakes on my camping stove. The topic I’m currently stuck on is cults (if you have any book/documentary recommendations, let me know!) I’d love to hear about your current hobbies, hyperfixations or obsessions. What have you been watching lately, and what did you think about it? Is there a new skill you’re learning currently? What’s something you could happily spend a whole evening talking about? A little bit more about me, so you have some idea of the general shape of the person behind this post: I’m queer, child-free, married, and I have two dogs. I’m left-wing and I fall somewhere into the “spiritual but not religious” category. English is my main language, but I also speak Finnish at a native level (just I sometimes find it harder to express myself in Finnish. If you prefer to speak Finnish, but can put up with me saying things in English occasionally, we’ll get along just fine). If any of this resonates with you, do message me!
